How did our project evolve?

Mindmaps

The first step is to design mindmaps on our assigned theme: "Protect the poorest from climate-related extreme events."

From these mindmaps we developed our original application idea, so we share these to you for better understanding how we come up with our questions and how we tried to provide our solutions.

The project

One of the first step, with the inspiration of mindmaps, we have to brainstorm two ideas we would like to solve or target for helping the poorest from climate-related extreme events. And later we present our two ideas in this glitch project.
This will allow you to have a better understanding of the spirit we want to give to our application, its identity, our motivations and the main goals we want to achieve.

Wireframes and Mockups

Then we made a wireframe of our project, which was the first draft of what our application would look like. It navigates through different pages and paints a rough idea for the fianl mockup. It is a simple monochrome layout with the placement of all navigation buttons and varios features. Later we modify and revise it into our mockups, which allowed us to think about how we could improve the user experience.

Our first mockups: The next step in the realization of our project was to create, thanks to the Figma website, mockups of our project. These mockups are demonstrators of our concepts that will allowed us to easily get end-users feedback. They provide a medium-fidelity representation of our projets.

User Test

Here is our tests: Click Here
After our user test we learned there are three details we should modify:

  • firstly, the "Weather" button is not indicative;
  • secondly, the medical measures should be illustrated;
  • thirdly, the navigation button is confusing.
Thus, based on these feedbacks, we devise and revised our mockups. And Here is our final mockup: OUTSAND.
